Ophthalmic Technician Seminar Set for May 19, 2007

Each year SureVision Eye Centers presents an educational seminar for Ophthalmic Technicians.  This one day training session provides updates on new and exciting developments in our specialty with emphasis on the role of Ophthalmic Technicians in patient education, office work-up, diagnostic techniques and equipment, as well as new medications, lens implants and refractive surgery procedures.  JCAHPO credits are available to attendees.

Dr. Gans Implants Area's First Visian ICL

Dr. Lawrence Gans, Medical Director of SureVision performed the first Visian Lens Implant surgery in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.  Both eyes of 5 patients received the implantable contact lenses (ICL) for the correction of nearsightedness.  This new technology provides vision correction for myopia that is as good as or better than LASIK, with a wider range of myopic correction accomplished in a 6 minute procedure.
