On Saturday, April 19, 2008 SureVision Eye Centers is proud to host the annual Ophthalmic Technicians Meeting at the Comfort Inn Westport, in St. Louis. Lawrence Gans, MD and Sean Mulqueeny will describe the latest new developments in Laser Refractive Surgery. The new Wavelight Allegretto is the fastest and most accurate laser in the industry and it has a new paradigm in treating refractive patients that has caused refractive surgeons to reassess the way we perform wavefront analysis and laser programming for surgery.
Dr. Dan Walsh will review the technician's role in evaluating pupils and will review the signs of eye disease that are assessed simply by pupil testing.
Lastly, Dr. Gans will take a look at Things that go Bump in the Eye reviewing the lumps and bumps that range from the annoying to the deadly. Technicians will learn to evaluate tumors and will become familiar with different imaging technologies that will play an important role in the office evaluation of patients with tumors.
