Gerald A. Wankum, M.D.

Dr. Gerald A. Wankum is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing general medical ophthalmology. He is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Wankum completed an internship in internal medicine at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, a residency in radiology at St. Louis University and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Prior to moving to St. Louis, Dr. Wankum practiced Adult Medicine at Wayne Minor Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri and General Ophthalmology at Kneibert Clinic in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. When he returned to St. Louis he served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Bethesda Eye Institute. Dr. Wankum is a member of the American Medical Association, Missouri Ophthalmologic Society, and the St. Louis Ophthalmology Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
